This Weekend Retreat is an exploration of the luminous presence of God as the very essence of your being. Rather than seeking divinity outside yourself, we turn inward to recognize the ever-present light of awareness that permeates all experience.
Held in a safe container of gentle inquiry and silent resting, Amoda Maa will offer discourse andcontemplations that support an opening to the radiant truth that God’s being is not separate from our own.
Each of the four sessions includes a guided meditation and a discourse.
1 — Resting in the Mystery
The illumination of God’s being is not hidden somewhere far away. It is not reserved for those who are pure or perfect. It shines quietly in the background of all experience, in the simple presence of this moment. Is it possible to rest here, open and undefended? Are you willing to meet life as the mystery that is already here?
2 — The Veil of Separation
The belief in the story of “me” is a contraction into identity that obscures the light of God’s being. But this veil is thin, made of thought and unexamined belief. Are you willing to allow even this veil to appear as a cloud, without attachment? And to quietly rest in the sky of being?
3 — The Radiance Within All Things
We often search for God in the extraordinary — in mystical places and altered states of consciousness. But the radiance of God pulses in both the ache of longing and the stillness of presence. Are you willing to open to the light in all things, both welcome and unwelcome?
4 — The Living Light
If the illumination of God’s being is not a destination, not something you visit and then lose, then how this light be embodied as a living reality? Does it mean you must withdraw from the chaos of everyday life, or is it possible to live in the quiet remembrance of what you already are?
