Poetry and Presence
“Where Words Meet Silencc”
An online contemplative day with Kavi
December 5, 2026
Poetry can open a doorway beyond explanation.
In this contemplative online day, Kavi invites us into a quieter way of listening — through poetry, silence, reflection, and presence. Rather than approaching poetry as something to analyze or understand, we will allow words to lead us toward the stillness from which they arise.
Across two spacious sessions, Kavi will share poems and contemplations alongside periods of silence and guided reflection, creating an atmosphere in which we can slow down, listen more deeply, and become receptive to what may reveal itself beneath the surface of thought.
This is not a poetry workshop and no experience of writing poetry is needed. It is an invitation to receive poetry as a living encounter — a way of becoming intimate with silence, mystery, and the immediacy of being.
There are two sessions in the day, each of 120 minutes (two hours) duration.
We encourage you to attend both sessions live wherever possible, as the day is designed as a continuous contemplative journey. If you are unable to attend a session, recordings will be available for 30 days following the event.
-
Our first session begins by settling into silence and becoming receptive to a different quality of listening.
Through selected poems, contemplative reflections, and periods of quiet, Kavi will explore how poetry can bring us to the threshold of what cannot be captured by language.
Rather than reaching for meaning, we are invited to allow the words to resonate within us — and to notice the silence that remains when interpretation falls away.
-
In the afternoon we deepen into the contemplative space opened during the morning.
Through further poetry, reflection, silence, and gentle dialogue, we will explore what becomes available when we listen without needing to arrive anywhere.
There will be space for questions and shared reflections, before closing the day together in silence and poetry.
