Set in a beautiful Hudson Valley mansion, surrounded by meadows, forests, and quiet ponds, the Borden Retreat offers a gentle invitation to come home to the truth of your own being. Here, held by the calm of nature, you can rest, open into presence, and awaken to the clarity and freedom that quietly shine beneath everyday life.
Each day includes two sessions with Amoda Maa and Kavi, weaving together silent and guided meditation, illuminating discourse, and intimate dialogue. Amoda offers the primary teachings, pointing directly to the lived experience of awareness, while Kavi supports the field through poetry and presence.
Between sessions, there is spacious time to enjoy nourishing vegetarian meals, walk the grounds, rest in quiet corners or shared spaces, and connect in unhurried ways. Evenings may bring spontaneous gatherings—poetry, music, or simple conversation—held in a spirit of ease, warmth, and shared presence.
You are warmly invited to step out of the momentum of life, rest in the simplicity of being, and be nourished by the depth and intimacy of this retreat.

Accommodations & Meals
The Space
The retreat will take place at Borden Estate, a collection of spacious buildings set within expansive grounds, offering many quiet indoor and outdoor places for walking, resting, or time alone in reflection. The meeting room, dining room, and main gathering spaces are all located in the central Mansion House.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Accommodations
Rooms are quiet, welcoming, and supportive of rest. Accommodations include a limited number of Single Rooms, and a larger number of Shared Rooms in the Mansion House, all with twin beds and linens provided.
Most bathrooms offer private access while being shared between a small number of rooms. A very limited number of Ensuite Rooms (with queen or king beds) are also available.
Additional accommodations are available in Half Acre, a nearby converted barn just a short walk from the main house. These simple Shared Rooms accommodate two to four participants, offering a more informal and communal setting.
All rooms are accessed by stairs.
Meals
Wholesome vegetarian meals are freshly prepared and served buffet-style in the dining room. Vegan and gluten-free diets can be accommodated—please note any dietary needs when registering.
Refreshments are available throughout the day.

The nearest airports to Borden Estate are:
Stewart International (SWF), small regional airport with very limited flights — 25 minutes
Westchester (HPN), regional airport — 1.5 hours
Newark (EWR) — 2 hours
JFK or LaGuardia (LGA) — 2–2.5 hours

Borden Estate is located 70 miles (1.5-2 hour drive) from New York City. It is accessible from Highway 87. There is ample on-site parking at the venue.

From New York City
Take the Metro-North Hudson Line from Grand Central to Beacon.
From Beacon, Borden Estate is about a 30-minute drive. Taxis and rideshares are available.From Newark Airport (EWR)
Take the AirTrain to Newark Liberty Airport Station.
From there, take NJ Transit to Secaucus Junction, then transfer to the Port Jervis Line toward Port Jervis and get off at Campbell Hall.From Campbell Hall, Borden Estate is about a 30-minute drive. Rideshares may be limited, so arranging transportation in advance is recommended.

Registration & Tickets
Ticket Cost per Person:
Ticket includes all tuition & activities, accommodation, meals & refreshments.
To reserve your place, a non-refundable deposit of $300 is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due by July 20.
Ensuite Room — $2,950
Single Room — $2,850
Shared Room in Mansion House (2 to 3 sharing) — $2,550
Shared Room in Half Acre (up to 4 sharing) — $2,250
If you have accommodations or live nearby, you can attend as a Commuter (all meals included) — $1,950 (Please email us for this option.)

Payment & Cancellations:
If you have paid a deposit, balance payments must be paid by July 20.
50% of balance is refundable if cancelled before August 20.
There is no refund if cancelled after August 20.
