Tucked away in the tranquil woodlands of Belgium, Koningsteen offers the perfect sanctuary for a 7-day retreat of deep stillness, gentle inquiry, and heartfelt connection. Once a 13th-century castle and later a hidden meeting place for lovers, its grounds still hold centuries of quiet stories among the trees.
Each day includes two sessions with Amoda and Kavi, gently weaving together silent and guided meditation, illuminating discourse, and intimate dialogue for deep inquiry and reflection. While Amoda offers the primary discourses and meditations, Kavi supports the teachings through his poetry and presence.
Between sessions, there’s spacious time to enjoy nourishing meals, walk the land, connect with others in unhurried moments, or rest in the beauty and simplicity of the surroundings. Evenings may bring spontaneous gatherings—poetry, music, or heartfelt conversation—held in a spirit of ease, intimacy, and joy.
Rooted in Amoda Maa’s teaching of open awareness and unconditional presence, this retreat offers a space to meet life as it is, without resistance. If you feel called to this path of inner freedom, you are warmly invited to join us.

Accommodation
Koningsteen Center offers comfortable, simply elegant accommodations in the main castle and nearby buildings, providing a quiet and supportive setting for rest and contemplation during the retreat.
Most rooms are Shared Rooms with two or three single beds. A limited number of Single Rooms are also available. Many rooms have ensuite bathrooms, while others use private-use bathrooms shared between a small number of rooms.
If you are booking a Shared Room (two or three single beds), you may request to room with a friend during registration. Otherwise, you will be paired with another participant of the same gender. Couples are welcome to book a shared room.
The grounds of Koningsteen also offer a space for your own Tent or Camper van, providing a simple, nature-based option with access to nearby shared bathroom facilities.
Meals
Together, we will enjoy three wholesome, organic vegetarian meals daily. Meals are freshly prepared on-site with care and will be served buffet-style. Water, tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan meals can be provided on request. Please note your dietary needs on the registration form.
How to Get There

The nearest airport to Koningsteen is Brussels Airport (BRU), located about 30 minutes away by car or taxi. From the airport, you can reach the retreat center by taxi, rental car, train, or bus.

From Brussels, northbound toward Antwerp, via E19/A12. Exit at Kapelle‑op‑den‑Bos (exit 18).
From Antwerp, head south on the A12 toward Brussels. Exit at Kapelle‑op‑den‑Bos.
Parking:
Free on-site parking is available, -
Regular trains run daily to Kapelle-op-den-Bos Station, which is a short walk or taxi ride to the retreat center.

Registration & Payment
Retreat participation is arranged through two separate payments:
1. Tuition — paid in USD to the Amoda Maa Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit).
Tuition supports the costs of hosting the retreat, including venue hire and the dedicated team that helps make this work possible. It also sustains the ongoing work of the Amoda Maa Foundation so these teachings can continue to be offered widely.
Tuition fee: €1,170 EUR
Billed as $1,350 USD at checkout (your bank may convert to your local currency).
To confirm your place, a non-refundable deposit of €258 EUR (billed as $300 USD) is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due by April 20.
2. Accommodation & Meals — paid in EUR directly to Koningsteen Retreat Center.
You will select your room type when registering for tuition. After completing your tuition registration, you will receive a link with instructions for making the accommodation and meals payment directly to the venue.
Single Room Accommodation, Meals Included - €850 EUR / $1,020 USD
Shared Room Accommodation, Meals Included - €700 EUR / $840 USD
Camper Van Accommodation, Meals Included - €610 EUR / $730 USD
Tent Accommodation, Meals Included - €550 EUR / $660 USD
Cancellations
Because tuition and lodging are handled separately:
Tuition cancellations are managed by the Amoda Maa Foundation (see below).
Lodging/meal cancellations are handled directly by Koningsteen.
Tuition must be paid in full by April 20.
50% of balance is refundable if cancelled before May 20.
There is no refund if cancelled after May 20.
